Cause

Reason code 203 is a hard decline from the card-issuing bank. It is classified as a general decline by the card issuer, and no further information is provided to us. The card-issuing bank may have additional information.

How to fix

Take one of the following actions:

  • The customer should call and investigate the reason for the decline directly with the card issuer/the bank. This works in most cases and the card issuers will allow transactions to complete.

  • The customer can resolve to use a different credit card
